Clark leaned over from the start/finish stand and vigorously waved the green flag well, handed it off to someone and clapped his hands. You could tell he enjoyed the rush of all those Sprint Cup cars speeding past him.
"Why they asked me, I'm still waiting for someone to tell me that they asked the wrong person, and I have to give my credentials back," Clark said. "But right now, we're getting close to the start, and I haven't gotten kicked out yet."
I'll leave you with a quote from Pro Bowl TE Dallas Clark jerseys, who waved the green flag on last Sunday's NASCAR Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Caught up with him before the race for a quick chat. He looks and sounds ready to go for the season. And, no, he doesn't have any idea if WR Reggie Wayne jersey or DE Robert Mathis intend to show up on time or sit out because they want new contracts.
I haven't settled on a new design for blog posts this season, but as promised, I plan to shake stuff up a bit. Even if the posts are smaller, I want to have more of them. I will come up with a theme and we'll go from there.
I would also be remiss if I didn't mention The Star's Guide to Colts Camp, a special section that will be included in Sunday's editions. This being the 27th year the new Colts jerseys have had training camp since arriving in Indy, I came up with 27 things I'm wondering about as we start the preseason. I've also included some tips and information about camp rules to help fans who will be heading to Anderson. I visited the campus earlier in the month to get a feel for what is where and how camp will function. I also included some food places in there for folks looking to go somewhere original.
I will offer some thoughts on report day to get this blog started again on the daily routine. In case some are joining for the first time, I hit the blog every day once camp opens and through the season until we call it a year. Opinions are always welcome. Critics, feel free. Be advised my blog work is done in addition to my daily responsibilities for the newspaper. I will not be at camp every day. My plan is to hit it three times each of the first two weeks, to get ahead on stories, share some thoughts about what I see with all of you, then we'll go from there.
We're about counting the hours now until the Colts football jeseys report by 2 p.m. Sunday at Anderson University for training camp. Three of the draft picks have been signed, and we expect more to be in the fold by Sunday.
